sinh()

Function in Builtins

sinh(x): hyperbolic sine, component-wise.

import { sinh } from 'typeshade'

The signature, the description and the examples come from the compiler's own source at commit 26de7be8.

Syntax

const sinh: <K extends FloatKey>(x: ReadonlyNode<K>) => Node<K>

Parameters

x ReadonlyNode<K>

Return value

Node<K>

Description

Spelled the same on WGSL and GLSL ES 3.00. atan(sinh(y)) is the inverse of asinh(tan(x)), one transcendental fewer, and better conditioned near y = 0, than the Gudermannian form 2·atan(exp(y)) − π/2.

Examples

Example

import { fn, atan, sinh, f32T } from 'typeshade'
const gd = fn('gd', { y: f32T }, ({ y }) => atan(sinh(y)))

GLSL ES 3.00 (WebGL2) Supported
