SD0016
Core code
host-owned resource has a shape the target cannot spell
No "use typeshade" program on this site raises this code, so the page has no example. The fn() builder builds the IR directly and reaches the check at the lines under Source.
The registry text and every compiler message on these pages are the compiler's own English.
When it fires
Split out of SD0014. hostUniform borrowed that code for a shape it does not describe, so a reader who hit it was pointed at specialization constants and told to decompose into "per-component scalar overrides" — advice for a different declarator.
How to fix it
The registry's hint: hostUniform takes a scalar/vector/matrix — a host-owned struct is hostBlock, which chooses its GLSL spelling with glsl: "loose" | "std140-block"; a loose block flattens to one uniform per member, so its members must themselves be scalar/vector/matrix
